Principia Energy
Principia is one of the fastest-growing renewable energy producers in Greece and is included in the “FT1000: Europe’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2026” list. Jointly owned by Enel SpA and funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management, Principia operates a diverse portfolio of assets, encompassing wind, solar, hydroelectric energy projects, as well as battery energy storage systems.
Established in 2008 as part of Enel Green Power in Greece, Principia has evolved into an independent entity, owning 71 plants in operation with a total installed capacity of 775.32 MW. The company is actively expanding its footprint, with another 5.27 GW under various stages of development.
