Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Client Experience and Relationship Management, the Manager, Client Relationship Management is accountable for assigned client relationships and client interactions, delivering thoughtful, value-added engagement that strengthens IMCO’s client experience. The role works closely with institutional clients and internal teams to understand client priorities, apply sound judgment, and coordinate high-quality materials, insights, and deliverables that support informed decision-making.

The Manager also develops client-facing materials, insights, and engagement approaches that reinforce IMCO’s value proposition and enable clear, effective client conversations. Working through influence in a matrixed organization, the role coordinates across functions, exercises independent judgment, and ensures assigned initiatives are delivered with quality, consistency, and a client-first focus.

As a Member of Our Team You Will be Responsible For:

Client Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Manage assigned client relationships, building credibility and maintaining regular engagement on investment, asset allocation, and service matters.

  • Lead assigned client interactions, both virtual and in-person, identifying needs, coordinating follow-up, and delivering tailored, value-added responses within established relationship strategies.

  • Identify and advance improvements to CRM practices for assigned clients, helping deepen engagement and strengthen long-term partnerships.

Client Experience & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead assigned client-focused initiatives aligned with IMCO’s client success priorities, bringing a practical client perspective to cross-functional projects.

  • Manage assigned client experience initiatives, including strategic asset allocation advisory work, investment strategy updates, and policy-related engagement.

  • Coordinate implementation and refinement of the client segmentation framework to enhance service delivery and prioritization.

Investment Communication & Advisory Support

  • Partner with internal partners to develop high-quality materials and insights for client discussions.

  • Translate investment concepts, strategies, and policy considerations into clear, accessible messaging for a range of audiences.

  • Maintain current knowledge of IMCO’s investment capabilities, asset classes, and market trends and apply that knowledge to client discussions and deliverables.

Client Insights, Research & Education

  • Support the annual client survey process, synthesizing insights to inform continuous improvement in client experience and service delivery.

  • Develop and enhance client-facing content that advances IMCO’s client education efforts and highlights organizational capabilities.

  • Conduct research and prepare materials that support client engagement, assigned initiatives, and broader relationship management priorities.

Internal Collaboration & Enterprise Contribution

  • Coordinate client-related initiatives across functional teams, using influence and sound judgment to align stakeholders, manage execution, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Develop materials that improve internal visibility of client initiatives, including town halls, offsites, and related leadership updates.

  • Bring a client perspective to broader organizational priorities and growth initiatives within the scope of assigned relationships and projects.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and quality review to team members and project teams, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment without formal people-management accountability.

  • Reinforce strong execution standards, accountability, and quality across assigned deliverables and stakeholder engagement.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree considered an asset.

  • 6–8 years of relevant experience within the investment industry, investment consulting, or a related client-facing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience engaging institutional clients or stakeholders on investment-related matters.

  • Strong understanding of institutional investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio construction concepts.

  • Broad knowledge of public and private market asset classes and evolving industry trends.

  • Professional designations (e.g., CFA, CAIA, CIPM, FRM) are considered an asset.

  • Strong ability to build credibility and establish effective working relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.

  • Highly effective at navigating and influencing within a multi-stakeholder, matrixed environment.

  • Experience contributing to initiatives that improve client experience and support business priorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate under pressure, and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.

  • Strong team orientation, with the ability to collaborate across functions and build alignment toward shared objectives.

  • Experience supporting team members and contributing to a high-performance, accountable culture.

  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with experience developing executive-level materials.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
