Senior Software Developer – Salesforce

Four Seasons is seeking a Senior Software Developer – Salesforce to join our Technology Innovation & Development department, focused on the design, development and support of applications built on the Salesforce platform.

Salesforce is a foundational platform underpinning numerous critical applications ranging from powering elements of Four Seasons Digital guest experience to guest recognition to fulfilling stay related guest requests to name just a few. Over 15,000 employees use these applications every day to service our guests.

The platform is also central to Four Seasons' agentic AI roadmap. Building on Agentforce and Data Cloud, this role will help design, build and refine AI agents that support both our guests and the employees who serve them. The successful candidate will pair strong Apex and Lightning development skills with hands-on Agentforce experience, and bring curiosity about where the platform is heading, including API-first and headless architectures.

This is a hands-on development role suited to someone with a great passion for modern technology, attention to design, and the drive to identify and resolve complex problems in a fast-paced environment and may extend beyond Salesforce.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Solution Development and Delivery

• Translate business requirements into scalable, well-architected solutions on the Salesforce platform, using configuration where possible and code where it adds the most value.
• Design, build, test and deploy solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow and related platform technologies.
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events and established integration patterns.
• Uphold standards for quality by utilizing Salesforce development best practices, participating in code reviews, writing effective unit test classes, and respecting data security.
• Manage the propagation of configuration, code and data to target environments through source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Publish and maintain excellent documentation targeted at end users, support resources and technical teams.

Agentforce and AI Capabilities

• Build and extend AI agents using Agentforce, including agent topics, instructions and custom actions developed with Apex invocable methods and Flows.
• Develop and refine prompt templates, grounding agent responses in CRM and Data Cloud data while adhering to Salesforce Einstein Trust Layer standards.
• Test agent behaviour rigorously before release (e.g. Agentforce Testing Center) and monitor accuracy, latency and escalation rates in production.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value use cases where agents can improve the guest and employee experience.
• Keep abreast of Salesforce AI and platform capabilities being introduced in each new release, and share learnings with the team.
• Contribute to early exploration of headless and API-first patterns as Salesforce's composable capabilities mature.

Platform Support and Continuous Improvement

• Provide ongoing support for existing Salesforce applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution and root cause analysis.
• Support release planning and coordinate deployments to ensure high-quality, low-risk delivery.
• Help evolve monitoring so that issues are identified proactively rather than reactively.
• Identify and drive opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

• 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow) across Sales, Service and Experience Cloud.
• Experience building with Agentforce or other Salesforce AI capabilities (Agent Builder, custom actions, prompt templates).
• Exposure to headless / API-first Salesforce development is considered an asset.
• A degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I required. Platform Developer II, Agentforce Specialist and JavaScript Developer I certifications are strong assets.
• Strong Salesforce product knowledge (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) and development experience using Apex, Lightning Components / Lightning Web Components Framework, Visualforce and Flow.
• Hands-on experience with Agentforce: Agent Builder, topics and instructions, custom actions, prompt templates and agent testing.
• Familiarity with Data Cloud and Einstein capabilities and how they ground agent behaviour.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce objects and relational databases, including writing efficient SOQL.
• Experience with API builds and associated consumption patterns (REST, SOAP, Platform Events).
• Solid grasp of the Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets and sharing rules.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns.
• Experience with source control (GitHub, Azure DevOps), SFDX and CI/CD toolsets.
• Understanding of headless / composable Salesforce architecture (API-first design, Lightning Web Runtime, modern JavaScript frameworks such as React) is a strong asset. This is an emerging area; enthusiasm to learn matters more than years of experience.Strong communicator, whether written or verbal, practicing active listening. Able to translate technical complexities into more commonly understood business concepts.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 CAD
