The Price & Promotion Digitization squad owns the full lifecycle of pricing and promotion workflows across Makro's commercial systems — from normal and tiered price management through to complex promotion setup and supplier promotion funding. This is a Maturing squad with live products in production, an established tech team, and active business users.

The Senior Product Owner will step into an existing product and drive the next phase of adoption, workflow improvement, and supplier funding digitization.

The role sits at the intersection of Commercial Hub (buyer-facing workflows) and the Makro Supplier Portal (supplier-facing promotion funding confirmation) — requiring strong collaboration across both platforms and their respective teams.

Key responsibilities

Own the product roadmap for Price & Promotion Digitization — pricing workflows, promotion management, and promotion funding
Drive adoption of live features — work with business and commercial teams to increase digital usage and reduce manual overrides
Lead the promotion funding workflow end to end — buyer initiation on Commercial Hub, supplier confirmation via MSP
Manage and improve pricing strategies
Own Amt Off Promotions, Loyalty Point Promotions, Simple and Complex Promotion digitization
Identify system gaps and translate them into prioritised backlog items with clear PRDs
Run sprint delivery with the tech team — backlog management, sprint planning, UAT, and release coordination
Collaborate with the Price & Promotion Optimization squad (AI/ML pricing) to ensure data and workflow alignment

Requirements

4–7 years of product management experience, ideally with commercial, pricing, or promotion workflows in a retail or wholesale environment
Strong ability to take ownership of a live product and drive adoption — not just build new features
Experience working with buyers, category managers, and commercial operations teams as primary stakeholders
Comfortable working across two platforms — Commercial Hub (buyer side) and a supplier portal (supplier side)
Detail-oriented with strong process thinking — able to map complex promotion workflows and translate them into product requirements
Strong communication skills — able to manage business stakeholders and tech teams simultaneously
Fluency in English; Thai is an advantage

Nice to Have

Prior experience with pricing or promotion systems in retail — RMS, Oracle Retail, or similar
Familiarity with supplier funding or trade terms workflows
Experience in wholesale, hypermarket, or large-format retail environments
Understanding of B2B pricing models and fresh food pricing complexity
