The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber
Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Corporate IT Supervisory Department (CITD) drives Rakuten Group’s global corporate IT services and infrastructure. Our service scope encompasses enterprise application management for core business functions, driving business process automation and digital transformation through our IT platform, providing comprehensive end-user support and operations, and optimizing IT processes to support a range of essential services and platforms.

Our organization is advancing the design of integration platforms that connect with the RPA platform (Blue Prism) and numerous corporate IT systems, while also promoting AI-assisted application development and sophisticated Agentic Workflow development using no-code solutions. Through these initiatives, we are accelerating enterprise-scale automation solutions and enabling broader AI adoption across the organization.

Position Details

Lead the server architecture design, operations management, and incident response for the RPA execution platform (primarily Blue Prism), driving stable operations and continuous improvement.

・Design and operational management of the RPA execution platform.

・Administration of Windows Server, SQL Server, and VMware/Hyper-V environments.

・Incident response and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

・Resolution of technical issues raised by RPA citizen developers.

・Operational design of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

・Operational automation using PowerShell and similar technologies.

・Development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and operational rules.

・Evaluation and promotion of cloud migration and infrastructure improvements.

・AI platform design, PoC, prototyping, and architecture development.

・Process automation using AI solutions and design/implementation of Agentic Workflows.

・Team management and member development.

Work Environment

Number of colleagues: Approximately 20-30, including overseas locations
Work atmosphere: The workplace is bright and friendly. It has an open and free atmosphere, making it an environment where you can actively express your opinions and make new proposals.

Development environment : RPA (Blue Prism), ServiceNow, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, M365 Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, etc.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・ 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations and design, and solution implementation

・Knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server

・Experience operating VMware or Hyper-V environments

・Experience with incident analysis and RCA

・Experience with automation using PowerShell or similar tools

・Business proficiency in both Japanese and English

・Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

・Understanding of security, monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery principles, and the ability to apply them to system design and policy development

・Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies

・Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and collaboratively as a team player on large-scale projects

・Experience working in international environments across diverse cultures, regions, and time zones

・Interest and foundational experience in team management, performance evaluation, and talent development, or a strong aspiration to grow in these areas

Desired Qualifications:

・Experience with RPA tools such as Blue Prism and UiPath

・Experience with ServiceNow

・ITIL certification

・Experience designing, implementing, and managing AI platforms

・Familiarity with modern AI protocols such as A2A and MCP, as well as related implementation components

・Practical experience in team leadership, project management, and people management
