Zayo is a dynamic and rapidly growing telecom company dedicated to connecting what's next. As we continue to expand, we're seeking a skilled and seasoned Contract Recruiter to support hiring across Zayo’s Networks & Technology business segment. 

Our ideal candidate will bring recruiting experience within the telecommunications industry or a similar field-based environment such as infrastructure, utilities, construction, broadband, or technical services, with a strong track record of hiring Field Services and hourly technician talent. 

A successful candidate will have experience recruiting for a variety of field-based roles, including route patrollers, field technicians, installation and maintenance technicians, and other skilled hourly positions across multiple markets. You'll understand the unique challenges of high-volume, geographically dispersed recruiting and know how to develop effective sourcing strategies to reach both active and passive field talent. 

You will leverage creative and effective talent acquisition strategies to build robust, diverse candidate pipelines and partner closely with hiring leaders to meet Zayo's evolving workforce needs. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage a high volume of recruiting activity, and is comfortable adapting quickly to changing business priorities. 

Location: We are open to this individual working remotely within the United States. If you live within 55 miles of Zayo's downtown Denver, CO office location (preferred location), we do ask that you work in a hybrid capacity. 

Contract duration: This is an anticipated 4-month contract assignment, with the possibility of extension or conversation to a full-time based on business needs. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

• Partner closely with leadership, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to develop a deep understanding of the business, workforce needs, and assigned client group 

• Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs 

• Develop and execute effective sourcing and recruiting strategies to identify, engage, and attract both active and passive candidates in competitive talent markets 

• Facilitate and execute the full life-cycle recruiting process for Zayo positions 

• Consult with and guide hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, providing appropriate tools, insights, and recommendations 

• Drive recruiting activities to maintain strong pools of qualified and diverse candidates for current and future openings 

• Screen, assess, and present highly qualified candidates to hiring managers 

• Build talent networks through industry contacts, professional associations, trade groups, employee referrals, and other relevant channels 

• Conduct regular check-ins with hiring managers to provide updates, gather feedback, and maintain alignment on hiring priorities 

• Adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities, with the ability to course-correct recruiting strategies when needed 

• Ensure compliance with recruiting processes, policies, and established recruiting KPIs 

What You’ll Need To Be Successful: 

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience 

• Minimum of 5 (five) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate environment or with a blend of corporate and agency recruiting experience 

• Recruiting experience within telecommunications or a similar industry such as utilities, infrastructure, construction, broadband, or field services  

• Demonstrated experience recruiting a variety of Field Services and hourly/skilled technician positions, such as route patrollers, field technicians, installation or maintenance technicians, and similar roles 

• Experience supporting high-volume hiring across multiple geographic markets and developing localized sourcing strategies to attract field-based talent 

• Demonstrated ability to recruit on a national, multi-location level 

• Experience sourcing both active and passive candidates with a strong focus on candidate experience and a proven track record of identifying high-quality talent 

• Self-directed, highly organized, and be able to complete time-sensitive assignments with composure and perseverance 

• Experience with behavioral and competency-based interviewing and familiarity with DOL requirements related to interview questions 

• Workday experience strongly preferred 

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively 

• Ability to quickly evaluate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment 

• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization 

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality 

• Strong attention to detail and a highly collaborative working style
