Morpheus Enterprise Pre Sales Architect – HPE

Role Overview

The Presales Architect acts as the technical champion for the platform, partnering with HPE sales teams, customers to drive adoption, deliver proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), and accelerate revenue.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is transforming hybrid IT through the Cloud Ops Suite — an integrated platform combining:

• HPE Morpheus Enterprise for hybrid-cloud automation and self-service orchestration 

• HPE OpsRamp for AIOps - driven monitoring and observability. 

• HPE Morpheus VM Essentials for virtualization and private-cloud management (VMware and HVM)

This role blends deep technical expertise in these offerings with consultative selling and enablement skills, operating in a fast‑paced, “startup‑mindset” environment.

Morpheus Enterprise is HPE’s flagship hybrid‑cloud automation and self‑service orchestration platform. It enables customers to design, deploy, and manage workloads across private, public, and hybrid environments from a unified management plane, delivering rapid provisioning, policy‑driven governance, and cost‑optimized operations. The solution integrates with HPE’s broader Cloud Ops Suite (HVM, OpsRamp) and supports the full spectrum of hypervisors, containers, and public clouds.

HPE acquired OpsRamp, a market leader that offers SaaS-based, AI-driven modern IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions. OpsRamp's technology has now been integrated with HPE GreenLake platform, available standalone as-a-service, and embedded within HPE's compute, storage, and networking solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

• Lead discovery sessions to map customer needs, policies, and multi‑cloud strategies to Morpheus Enterprise capabilities. 

• Deliver technical presentations, live demos, and architecture reviews that highlight automation, cost‑saving, and self-service benefits.

Presales & Business Development

• Partner with HPE sales, account executives, and product managers to position Morpheus Enterprise in winning deals. 

• Develop solution‑level proposals, ROI/business‑case models, and answer RFP/RFI questions. 

• Provide feedback from the field to product teams to shape roadmap and improve enablement content. 

• Work closely with the Morpheus sales specialist to qualify leads and ensure a strong pipeline of potential customers.

Technical Thought Leadership

• Collaborate and provide feedback on best‑practices, playbooks, and success‑story collateral. 

• Contribute to internal “field readiness” forums and share lessons learned across the customer ecosystem. 

• Stay current on hybrid‑cloud trends, competing platforms, and emerging automation tools.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with HPE presales, engineering, account teams and professional services to ensure seamless solution hand‑off. 

• Participate in cross‑functional projects that enhance training, tooling, and partner programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field recommended.

• 4‑8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, or hybrid‑cloud automation, preferably in a technical‑selling or enablement role.

• Preferred hands‑on experience with OpsRamp or other observability platforms

• Preferred hands‑on experience with Morpheus Enterprise (or comparable orchestration platforms) and at least one major hypervisor (VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper‑V).

• Strong background in designing/operating private, public, or hybrid cloud architectures.

• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, networking, storage (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, SDS).

• Experience with automation/scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform.

• Familiarity with HPE’s hybrid‑IT portfolio and the competitive landscape.

• Preferred experience with products like VMware VCF Automation (VRA), Nutanix Cloud Manager.

• Working knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) platforms 

• Understanding of modern workload platforms (Kubernetes, Racher, HKS, EKS, AKS)

Skills & Competencies

• Technical selling & presentation – ability to translate complex orchestration concepts into clear business value for end‑customers. 

• Excellent communication skills: adept at tailoring messages to mixed technical and executive audiences. 

• Initiative‑driven, startup mindset – comfortable working autonomously, experimenting, and adapting quickly. 

• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities with meticulous attention to detail. 

• Business fluency in Italian/Spanish/English.
