Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Drive quality of our products through completion of design stack ups and robust qualifications.
• Work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Repair, Design, Design Liaison Engineering team and Supplier Quality organizations deliver high quality products to our customers, on time.
• Implements lean and continuous improvement to engineering tasks.
• Lead the execution of lab tests to validate analytical assumptions.
•  Proactively and effectively communicate project specific progress and schedule/technical risk.
• Documents work clearly and effectively presents work in formal and informal reviews.
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of combustion system using sound engineering principles including hand calculations, 2D and 3D Finite Element Analysis (FEA),and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
• Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.

Desired Characteristics

• 6+ years or more of Combustion Design Experience
• Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
•  Demonstrated ability to manage several projects across multiple competing priorities
• Demonstrated capability in collaborating with global teams
• Manufacturing and Additive experience
• Experience in the latest version of PLM

 

 

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
