OTC IT SAP Functional Lead / Product Owner

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an OTC IT SAP Product Owner / Functional Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. This role will partner with business and IT teams to define priorities, manage the product backlog, and deliver solutions that improve process efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on SAP Functional Lead who combines strong S/4HANA Order Management expertise with excellent communication and delivery skills. They are comfortable working autonomously, can quickly gather and analyze information, maintain strong documentation standards, and effectively manage work through Jira while leading business-critical fulfillment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities •

• Lead SAP Order Management and Fulfillment functional initiatives.
• Own and prioritize the OTC product backlog.
• Act as the subject matter expert for OTC processes and related integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into user stories.
• Partner with stakeholders across customer service, supply chain, and IT.
• Support JIRA & Scrum activities, including sprint planning, testing, and releases.
• Identify opportunities to improve OTC processes such as order management, order fulfilment, POA, ASN, ATP, etc.
• Support change management, adoption, and user communication.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams, business stakeholders, and offshore resources.
• Lead requirement gathering discussions and solution design sessions.
• Prepare Functional Specifications and support technical developments.
• Coordinate testing activities including PIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Support cutover planning, deployment, hypercare, and continuous improvement activities.
• Manage and prioritize functional requests using Jira.
• Ensure proper documentation of requirements, functional designs, test cases, and support procedures.
• Provide regular status reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to governance and best-practice standards.
• Experience with agentic ai api resources

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Eight (8) years of SAP functional experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with SAP Fiori applications.
• Experience with EDI/customer collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Process Monitoring and analytics.
• SAP S/4HANA certification.
• Experience in multinational manufacturing
• Strong experience in SAP SD / Order Management / Fulfillment processes.
• Proven experience with SAP and S/4HANA implementations or transformations.
• Strong understanding of SAP / S/4HANA OTC architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• o ATP / Advanced ATP (aATP)
• o Scheduling Agreements
• o ASN processes
• o POA processes
• o Order Fulfillment and Delivery Management
• o EDI Process
• o Output Management
• o Pricing
• o Customer collaboration and supply chain integration
• Experience with integration points involving:
• o MM
• o EWM / Warehouse processes
• o Transportation and Logistics
• o Procurement and Supplier Collaboration
• Ability to produce clear, structured, and high-quality documentation including:
• o Business Requirements
• o Functional Specifications
• o Process Flows
• o Test Scripts
• o Knowledge Transfer Material

Work location: 3M Campus (Maplewood, MN)

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
