Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. 

With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships.

About the role  

We're looking for an Exports Market professional to join our team as an Export Market Service Owner, supporting our customers across global markets.

This is a varied, cross-functional role that provides the flexibility to focus on the right customers, products and processes at the right time, with end-to-end responsibility for the Beer Order-to-Cash (OTC) process. You'll manage customer requirements from order entry through to delivery, acting as the first point of contact for customer queries while building strong relationships with global markets, production sites and third-party freight providers.

Working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, you'll demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. You'll take a logical approach to problem-solving, continuously looking for opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working and deliver better outcomes for our customers.

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the International Customer Service Centre Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering the Order-to-Cash process in line with CARM principles, ensuring a seamless customer experience from order placement through to delivery.

As the voice of the customer within Diageo, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve customer queries, support business initiatives and ensure high levels of service across your markets.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage customer requirements from order entry through to delivery, acting as the first point of contact for all customer queries and service issues.
• Deliver the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process in line with CARM principles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, market teams, production sites and third-party logistics providers to ensure service levels are consistently achieved.
• Represent the customer within Diageo, supporting initiatives such as product change projects, the Quality Incident Resolution (QIR) process and order prioritisation during periods of supply constraint.
• Develop a strong understanding of market complexities, export processes, products and systems, including OTC, SAP, Customer Master Data, Customs & Excise and pricing.
• Manage and report on customer service KPIs, ensuring excellent service performance across your assigned markets.
• Coordinate the timely resolution of quality issues by working closely with Quality teams and production sites through the QIR process.
• Manage freight processes to ensure the most appropriate services are selected, identifying any special pre-shipment requirements while delivering the best value and supporting on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Diageo policies and standards, including CARM, C-TPAT, Health & Safety and other regulatory requirements.

Experience / Skills Required

• Educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent. A third-level qualification would be advantageous.
• Alternatively, candidates should experience within a customer service or shipping environment.
• Experience of export processes, freight documentation and shipping terminology.
• Experience building and managing customer, supplier and vendor relationships.
• A high level of proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Customs & Excise (C&E) requirements, market-specific legislation and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of international trade.
