OUR TEAM:
Our team is comprised of competent and caring resource professionals who are innovative, resourceful, collaborative, and helpful in facilitating the reentry process for the Offender Success (OS) Program of the Kinexus Group. This responsibility requires that we be service oriented relative to the needs of all referred participants, while still assuring that all services adhere to Michigan Department of Corrections policies and procedures, financial requirements as established through the State funding source.
We lead by example by holding true to a high standard of excellence that drives positive Offender Success outcomes for successful reentry for returning citizens. The Department strives to be exemplary in all activities and to continuously exceed expectations.
OUR DESIRED OUTCOMES:
This position will oversee the entire program management and data entry operation for all seven counties in Region 8, inclusive of all reporting to Michigan Department of Corrections. This position has responsibility for contract and performance compliance with the Michigan Department of Corrections programs. The Manager, Program & Data will be responsible for procuring and managing contracts with vendors providing mental health services and housing. This individual will transcribe information into a uniform data collection spreadsheet provided by Michigan Department of Corrections. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy with an extreme amount of attention to detail. Operationally, this position oversees delivery of services being provided in accordance with the MDOC Service Parameter guidelines outlined in the Kinexus Group’s contract, and overseeing the execution from staff providing such services. Establishing great partnerships with the local parole offices, representative of Region 8, is a key focus and expectation.

The Manager, Program & Data is a key leader within the Offender Success Team. They will be given the tools and support needed to carry out and execute all the functions for the position in the best of their ability.

Our team, providing services in all of Region 8, is committed to reducing crime and recidivism, which requires working with partners on the many layers of support, education, and services necessary to guide at-risk or previously incarcerated individuals. We focus on transitioning these individuals back into the workforce so that they can seamlessly return to independent living.
OUR DESIRED OUTCOMES:
Our long-term outcome is to give the individual tools and resources in which they can add strategies that are effective in assisting returning citizens to gain entry into suitable, meaningful and long-term employment. This position is responsible for delivering social support services to, and the data management of returning citizens in the tri-county area, as well as contract monitoring for Health and Behavioral Health providers for all seven counties in region 8. The specialist is also expected to recommend best practices for Offender Success protocols and continuously improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in relation to support purchases such as food and hygiene.

The Resource Specialist is a great asset to the Offender Success team; the expectation is they will work closely with the Community Coordinator, local partners and community providers as needed.

At the same time, we are helping jobseekers in our community find sustainable employment. Customers come to the One Stop with many different skill levels and work with our specialists through coaching, scholarships for classroom training in high demand occupations, and on-the-job training opportunities. We work closely with local businesses to connect jobseekers to multiple types of employment from entry level work to professional careers.

Our long-term outcome is to attract, retain, and develop talent to support economic growth and vitality in Southwest Michigan. The Manager of Workforce Operations ensures that program activities, policies, and procedures are implemented as designed and completed according to established timelines. This role requires effective communication with supervisors, peers, and staff, as well as the ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions when needed. The Manager also oversees the operational rhythm of case managers who work directly with individuals seeking workforce services, providing coordination and guidance to staff delivering talent development services.

THE TEAM:
The purpose of the Business Solutions Team is to support the Kinexus Group family of subsidiaries, utilizing a “Team of Teams” approach. Centering business as the customer, the team is focused on building an ecosystem of resources that support business needs and improve the overall supply of readily available talent for employers.

The Business Solutions Manager, in coordination with the Director, Business Solutions, assists with overseeing the operations of the Business Solutions department throughout the Berrien, Cass and Van Buren region, ensuring alignment of programs and services to meet the needs of local employers. This administrative management position involves providing guidance and support to staff to ensure efficient and effective coordination of services between economic developers, educators, community partners, employers, and Michigan Works! programs.
Duties include program planning, assignment of staff functions, coordination of service delivery, program reporting and related activities. Responsibilities are carried out directly, and through supervision of assigned staff, with wide latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
