OUR DESIRED OUTCOMES:
General daily operations of the finance department, performing a wide variety of activities including but not limited to financial reporting, yearly- quarterly- monthly financial statements/closes, budgeting, board(s) support, and external monitoring, audits, and government filings. Manage processes, controls, and support for other accounting activities including accounts payable and disbursements, accounts receivable/cash management and receipts, payroll and related tax filings, invoicing, and reporting to various funds and grantors. The CFO is a member of the Corporate Management and Leadership teams and works closely with the organizational staff. S/he must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
The CFO is responsible for the financial leadership and stewardship of Kinexus Group (KG) and its subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CFO ensures the fiscal integrity, sustainability, and performance of the enterprise while aligning financial strategy, governance, and performance management across Kinexus Group. This role supports the strategic and operational financial needs of subsidiary executives and their respective Boards by delivering responsive, value-driven financial leadership and services.
The CFO will have strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. They will provide leadership and supervision of the Finance Department staff, manage and oversee payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and contract invoicing functions. They will manage cash flow and forecasting on a monthly basis. They will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that are timely, accurate, and useful for both internal and external audiences.

This position will oversee the entire program management and data entry operation for all seven counties in Region 8, inclusive of all reporting to Michigan Department of Corrections. This position has responsibility for contract and performance compliance with the Michigan Department of Corrections programs. The Manager, Program & Data will be responsible for procuring and managing contracts with vendors providing mental health services and housing. This individual will transcribe information into a uniform data collection spreadsheet provided by Michigan Department of Corrections. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy with an extreme amount of attention to detail. Operationally, this position oversees delivery of services being provided in accordance with the MDOC Service Parameter guidelines outlined in the Kinexus Group’s contract, and overseeing the execution from staff providing such services. Establishing great partnerships with the local parole offices, representative of Region 8, is a key focus and expectation.

This position will support the Pathway Home 6 grant. This grant is expected to run for 42 months and provides funding for workforce development programs that support incarcerated individuals. The program goal is to improve employment outcomes and reduce recidivism by offering job training and other supportive services during incarceration and upon reentry into the community.

OUR DESIRED OUTCOMES:
The Case Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of the Pathway Home 6 (PH6) reentry initiative. Each Case Manager will be assigned to one of the three county jails and will support job seekers pre- and post-release. The primary goal is to help job seekers develop and follow Individualized Development Plans (IDPs), overcome reentry barriers, gain employment, and reduce recidivism through consistent, trauma-informed, and strengths-based support.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
As a Case Manager for the Pathway Home 6 Program, you will be the primary support for justice-involved individuals transitioning from incarceration to the workforce. You will lead the intake and assessment process, develop and manage individualized reentry plans (IDPs), and provide direct services both pre- and post-release. This includes coordinating training and employment opportunities, connecting job seekers to supportive services, and tracking their progress toward self-sufficiency and reduced recidivism. Your role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with jail staff, service partners, and employers while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with federal performance standards. Ultimately, you are expected to be a proactive, compassionate advocate who helps job seekers overcome barriers and achieve lasting success in the community.

Our long-term outcome is to give the individual tools and resources in which they can add strategies that are effective in assisting returning citizens to gain entry into suitable, meaningful and long-term employment. This position is responsible for delivering social support services to, and the data management of returning citizens in the tri-county area, as well as contract monitoring for Health and Behavioral Health providers for all seven counties in region 8. The specialist is also expected to recommend best practices for Offender Success protocols and continuously improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in relation to support purchases such as food and hygiene.
