Tokenization Core

The Tokenization team is the engine behind seamless recurring payments on the Adyen platform. We empower everything from one-click checkouts to global subscription services by securely storing and managing payment details. The services maintained by our team are critical - roughly 20% of all online payments at Adyen rely on our systems to be processed successfully.

Beyond core tokenization, we also build and maintain the foundation for key Adyen Uplift products like Network Tokenization and Account Updater. Our work directly contributes to higher authorization rates and a better payment experience for our merchants.

• Performance at Scale: Develop and maintain high-performance OLAP systems, supporting multi-tenant query workloads and ingestion pipelines with real Big Data scale.

What you’ll do

You’ll be asked to both build new tools and improve the existing tooling. This role is perfect for you if you're passionate about few of the following:

Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer 

Adyen's Application Engineering team is looking for a Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer to design, scale, and optimize our growing portfolio of enterprise and SaaS applications. • Design and scale enterprise applications by launching new tools and enhancing existing services, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Observability Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Engineering organization. You will be part of the team responsible for building and running Observability pillars on premise and on Kubernetes. CDD Risk, Onboarding Analyst

Our Customer Risk Review team is seeking an experienced CDD Risk Analyst who brings 2–4 years of payments or financial industry experience. We work in the financial Crime and Fraud department. As a financial institute, we provide products to store and move finances. This comes at a risk. Fraudsters and criminals can misuse our platform to do financial crime like money laundering, and fraud like taking funds that do not belong to them.

About the Role 

The Head of Travel & Mobility is responsible for Adyen’s long-term strategy and overall performance for the Vertical.

Data Center Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced and independent Data Center Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam and support Adyen’s growing datacenter footprint around the globe.

In this role, you'll drive the end-to-end asset and lifecycle management of data center assets, maintain precise DCIM documentation to provide a "single source of truth" for our global teams. You’ll work closely with global teams mainly based in Amsterdam and local third-party vendors, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure growth. You have a global mindset and the ability to travel internationally for several weeks per year to conduct site audits, oversee large-scale deployments, and align lifecycle standards across our global footprint

What You’ll Do

• Global Project Leadership- Lead the end-to-end rollout of new data centers and large-scale expansion projects, including the coordination and deployment of High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters across global sites.
• Infrastructure Design & Engineering- Collaborate with partners to oversee the design and installation of critical infrastructure and advanced thermal management.
• End-to-End Hardware Lifecycle- Manage the full equipment journey from initial Purchase Order (PO) through delivery, installation, and eventual decommissioning/End-of-Life (EoL) processing.
• Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination- Partner with Procurement to track orders, manage inventory, and synchronize on-site logistics with local DC-ops teams or remote hands.
• Data Integrity & DCIM Management- Serve as the guardian of the "Source of Truth" by ensuring all physical changes, assets, and project updates are 100% accurately reflected in the DCIM software.
• Cross-Functional Transition- Act as the bridge between installation and production by communicating with Platform and Network teams to ensure systems are successfully handed over and integrated.
• Maintenance & Technical Oversight- Plan and oversee engineering work-streams, including coordinating repairs, replacements, and maintenance executed by third parties.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management- Serve as the primary point of contact for DC vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, facilitate audits, and support year-over-year platform growth.
• Hands-on Field Operations- Maintain a "boots on the ground" approach by performing direct data center hardware work and traveling globally to provide on-site project oversight.

As a Staff Engineer for Monetization, you will be the technical compass for how Adyen’s systems earn revenue at scale. Our monetization domain underpins how we price, bill, and account for all Adyen products, making it one of the most impactful areas of the company.

Financial Risk Officer 

We are looking for a Financial Risk Officer to join our dynamic global second-line Enterprise Risk team in Amsterdam.

These are transformative times for Adyen; we are rapidly growing in new countries and are also broadening our product offering through our embedded financial products. We are looking for a risk manager that strengthens and builds out the banking and financial risk capacity within our technology company. This is where you come in.

You have a proactive mindset, you are eager to learn and you are looking for an opportunity that allows you to take ownership and self-dependently translate a vision into practice. While you will contribute to the financial risk team’s overall deliverables, your initial focus area will be in asset liability risk management, i.e. the second-line oversight of the liquidity, FX and interest rate risk domains. Together with the first-line teams, you will be building out the asset and liability risk management framework, risk data foundation and processes, support the launch and scaling of new financial products as well as introducing related models.

What you’ll do

• Build out Adyen’s liquidity, FX and interest rate risk framework together with the respective first-line teams by translating internal and external requirements into a new risk data foundation, processes, monitoring and mitigation strategies;

• Independently challenge and support the scaling of Adyen’s embedded financial product offering: loans, bank accounts, card issuing, overdrafts, payout services and FX;

Who you are

• 3 + years at minimum with relevant working experience in banking, financial risk management, financial auditing or consulting, with proven expertise in liquidity, FX and/or interest rate risk management and related quantitative methods
• Proven experience in defining data requirements and structures from the ground - for instance during implementation of new products or systems - is a significant plus;
• Solid knowledge of prudential banking regulation (CRR, CRD, Basel, OCC, PRA);
• A proactive, self-dependent, energetic lifelong learner with a hands-on mentality that does not hesitate to challenge the status quo;
