Tokenization Core
The Tokenization team is the engine behind seamless recurring payments on the Adyen platform. We empower everything from one-click checkouts to global subscription services by securely storing and managing payment details. The services maintained by our team are critical - roughly 20% of all online payments at Adyen rely on our systems to be processed successfully.
Beyond core tokenization, we also build and maintain the foundation for key Adyen Uplift products like Network Tokenization and Account Updater. Our work directly contributes to higher authorization rates and a better payment experience for our merchants.

Senior Software Engineer, Pricing
Every time a merchant submits a transaction or uses one of Adyen’s services, the Adyen platform must determine whether to charge the merchant and how much they should be charged. In many cases, what exact price a merchant pays to use Adyen’s services depends on how much volume they have already processed and/or the exact details of the contract they signed with Adyen.
The Pricing team owns the technical components that allow all products at Adyen to be priced. Commercial users interact with Pricing’s products to create and sign deals, Support uses our products to answer merchant questions about their pricing, and the rest of the Adyen platform relies on us to receive up-to-date, contractually accurate, and performant data on how every single event running through our system should be priced. As a Staff Engineer for Monetization, you will be the technical compass for how Adyen’s systems earn revenue at scale. Our monetization domain underpins how we price, bill, and account for all Adyen products, making it one of the most impactful areas of the company.
You will focus on the long-term evolution of our architecture: anticipating challenges, spotting opportunities, and ensuring we have the right technical foundations for the next generation of revenue systems. Rather than writing every line of code yourself, you will work closely with Tech Leads and Senior Engineers: coaching, guiding, and aligning them toward excellent, scalable solutions that keep our systems robust and reliable
You’ll have the space to think, innovate, and make high-leverage technical decisions that will shape how Adyen monetizes its products for years to come.
