We’re on the lookout for an experienced Case Resolution Lead to oversee the effective resolution of complex employee relations matters while leading and supporting a team of Case Advisors. 

This role is responsible for providing practical, risk‑aware ER guidance across a broad range of workplace matters including performance, conduct, grievances and complaints. Working closely with operational leaders and People & Culture stakeholders, you’ll help drive fair, timely and consistent case outcomes aligned with organisational values, policy and legislative requirements 

Your part in our UnitingCare team:    

• Lead complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary matters and serious grievances.  

• Provide guidance, coaching and quality assurance to Case Advisors managing day‑to‑day ER matters. 

• Ensure matters are managed consistently, fairly and in line with procedural fairness principles, legislation and organisational policy. 

• Support trauma‑informed case management practices across the team. 

• Prioritise high‑risk matters, including cases involving psychosocial risk or employees on paid suspension 

• Prepare documentation and support representation in conciliations and external forums including the Fair Work Commission. 

• Partner closely with leaders, Workforce Partnering, Workforce Relations Counsel, unions and other stakeholders to support effective case outcomes. 

• Monitor case progression, maintain accurate records and support compliance with case management frameworks and reporting requirements. 

• Identify trends and provide insights to support continuous improvement of ER systems, processes and practices. 

• Lead, coach and develop team members to foster a high‑performing and collaborative team culture. 
     

What makes a difference for us?   

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies, which may include: 

• Nationally Coordinated Police Check 

• Right to Work in Australia 

• Insolvency Check 

• Working with Children Check / Blue Card (if required) 

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline. 

• Strong experience managing complex employee relations matters within a large or complex environment. 

• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, enterprise agreements and workplace policies. 

• Demonstrated experience applying procedural fairness and natural justice principles. 

• Experience preparing documentation for external proceedings and supporting conciliation processes. 

• Proven ability to deliver practical, commercially balanced and risk‑aware advice. 

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building capability. 

• Experience coaching and supporting others in ER case management and documentation practices. 

• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. 

• Experience within health, community services or not‑for‑profit sectors will be highly regarded.
