UX/UI Designer

About the Role
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to create polished, user-centered experiences for Venveo's digital products.
This role combines strong visual design with UX thinking, research, prototyping, and design system work. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality designs and ensure those designs are implemented accurately.
What You’ll Own
Interface Design
- Create polished, user-centered UI designs for Venveo's digital products.
- Translate briefs and wireframes into high-quality, production-ready visuals.
- Ensure designs align with established design systems and brand standards.
UX Research & Validation
- Conduct or support user research activities, including usability testing and heuristic reviews.
- Synthesize research findings to inform design decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
Prototyping & Iteration
- Build interactive prototypes at the appropriate level of fidelity.
- Use prototypes to communicate concepts and gather stakeholder feedback.
- Iterate quickly toward validated design solutions.
Design System Stewardship
- Contribute to and maintain Venveo's component library and design system.
- Ensure consistency across product surfaces.
- Help reduce design debt over time.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Align on requirements and define appropriate scope.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible and accurately implemented.
Handoff & Developer Support
- Prepare precise design specifications and assets for engineering handoff.
- Remain available during development to answer design-related questions.
- Review implementations and provide feedback on design fidelity.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated professional experience in UX/UI design.
- Portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking and strong visual craft.
- Proficiency in Figma, including component creation, auto-layout, prototyping, and design system management.
- Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, including information architecture, user flows, interaction design, and accessibility best practices.
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams alongside engineers and product managers.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate asynchronously and clearly present design rationale.

Typical Day
Your day will likely begin with a review of async feedback from Venveo teammates on current design files, responding with annotations or updated iterations in Figma.
Mid-morning may involve a short sync with a product manager or engineer to align on requirements for an upcoming feature. From there, you may move into focused design work, refining user flows, producing high-fidelity screens, or building new components for the design system.
Later in the day, you might hand off a completed specification to the development team, run a quick usability check on a prototype, or review a developer implementation and flag any discrepancies.
The role is predominantly async, so clear written communication in every deliverable matters as much as the designs themselves.
