The Investment Performance, Analytics and Reporting (IPAR) team provides independent, insightful, accurate and timely investment performance analytics and attribution information for AIMCo’s clients, Total AIMCo, including all pools, and individual strategies. The IPAR team is closely integrated with external and internal clients to better understand investment strategies and provide them with insights that bring them closer to their investment performance goals. The Reporting group within the IPAR team is responsible for all external client and consultant reporting, providing AIMCo’s clients a comprehensive view of their investments.
As a student focusing on Reporting on AIMCo’s Investment Performance, Analytics & Reporting team, you, along with the rest of the team, will be responsible for gathering investment data and commentary from across the organization and producing monthly, quarterly, and adhoc client reports and participate in projects as required.
This will be a 4-month, full-time internship, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
- Gathering various data and commentary from internal stakeholders to produce monthly and quarterly investment reports for clients and consultants
- Improving checks and reduce manual processes through automation
- Learning and understanding AIMCo investment pools and client asset mandates to provide excellent service to our clients
- Assisting in the implementation of reporting and operational enhancement requests
- Assisting team members in fulfilling ad hoc external client and consultant inquiries, including working with various internal stakeholder teams to gather the appropriate information
- Assisting in internal and external audits by generating various supporting reports as requested
- Learning and understand performance methodologies and systems as required
- Participating in new projects or stabilization relating to Investment Performance and Reporting as required
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, Actuarial, Computer Science or related field
- Intermediate knowledge in data and SQL querying is desirable
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Word is required
- Intermediate experience with SQL, Python and Power BI tools is desirable
- Strong relationship building, communication, and writing skills is desirable
- Proven attention to detail and eye for accuracy is required
- Ability to translate investment data information into meaning client commentary is desirable

Success:
You will know success on the Investment Performance, Analytics & Reporting team when you become comfortable with the team's operational processes. After receiving guidance from the team, you will be familiar with processes involved in developing and completing our quarterly and monthly reports. You will be able to look back at the end of your term knowing that you were a contributing member to the quarterly client reporting and process improvement initiatives.
