Sr. Supervisor, Payroll and Accounting

Job Responsibilities

Payroll Operations & Administration

• End-to-End Processing: Manage, review, and approve regular and off-cycle payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries, benefits, and deductions. 
• Partner with external payroll service providers and local compliance agencies to ensure seamless operations and resolve any escalated issues. 
• Statutory Remittances & Tax Filing: Oversee the calculation, deduction, and timely filing and payment of local payroll taxes and statutory contributions (such as withholding taxes, social security, Pag-IBIG, and health benefits) 

Payroll Accounting & GL Integration

• Direct and review balance sheet reconciliations, payroll bank account statements, and unreleased payroll. 
• Review payroll data and ensure accuracy of journal entries posted to the General Ledger, ensuring synchronization between payroll and accounting records. 
• Manage month-end close processes for all payroll-related expenses, including tracking and recording of accruals, variances, and department allocations. 

Leadership & Audit Readiness

• Team Supervision: Guide, train, and mentor Sr. Payroll Analysts and Staff by assigning tasks and reviewing their work to ensure maintain operational efficiency. 
• Ensure adherence to internal company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards, serving as the primary point of contact for both external and internal payroll-related audits.
• Evaluate current workflows, lead system upgrades or migrations, and propose automated solutions to streamline processes.

Qualification: 

• Must be a CPA
• Amenability to work full onsite for the entire probationary period (6 months)
• Hybrid work arrangement after regularization
• A minimum of 5 years related work experience in payroll processing and general ledger functions, with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems (preferably NetSuite), timekeeping software; and payroll systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel includes Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and complex logical formulas.
• Knowledge of government-mandated payroll regulations (DOLE, BIR, SSS, PHIC, and HDMF) and applicable PEZA requirements
• Strong communication skills
