This is an exciting role where you will learn to use market insights and data analysis to work with different partners to start and shape new market trends. You will support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for spend categories and support the continuous improvement and standardization of the strategic sourcing processes

How you will contribute

You support spend category teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies for specific spend categories. To excel in this role, you interact with cross-functional stakeholders to manage spend and market analytics (for example, conducting “make or buy” analyses). You also generate insights from bid events, prepare supplier negotiation materials, support project execution and supplier relationship management, and drive controls and compliance.

What you need to know about this position:

The role will mainly focus on

1.           Support margin agenda: Drive productivity projects together with stakeholders, actively contribute to AMEA / BU productivity sessions, assist planning and execution of leading edge sourcing practices.

2.           Strategy execution in line with growth ambition and BU needs, industry evolution, sustainability and food safety requirements

3.           Improve cash conversion cycle, targeting WAPT.

4.           Ensure audit compliance and close out of management action plan, ensure supplier contracts are signed off and logged in CLM

5.           Provide business contingency plans, coordinate operational interactions in case of supply issues, drive suppliers to improve delivery on-time in full (OTIF) performance.

6.           Ensure suppliers maintain GFSI certification requirements, acknowledge specifications via official sign off, and minimize quality rejections.

7.           Partake in innovation / health and wellness workshops, facilitate supplier involvement and drive to fruition.

8.           Support the sustainability agenda in Palm, Soy and other Veg Oil. Provide input for global supplier relationship management, initiate local supplier relationship mgmt.

9.           Collaboration with CPRM and Finance for PNOC input.

Education / Certifications:

- Appropriate University Bachelor’s Degree, MBA not required but preferred.

- Recognized qualifications in Procurement are not mandatory but desirable.

- Proficient spoken / written English.

Years of experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Commodities. Preferred with experience in Fats and Oil commodity sourcing in Food Industry.
