• Remuneration: $32.67 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

The Sorting, Production and Merchandise Clearance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of sorting, production, and merchandise clearance operations within the Lifeline Retail Services Sunshine Coast warehouse. This position is central to driving efficiency across the entire process - from the initial sorting of donated goods through production workflows to the clearance of merchandise - creating a cohesive system that maximizes value and customer satisfaction. You will: 

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of the sorting, production, and merchandise clearance operations, ensuring integration and efficiency across the end-to-end process from receipt of goods to clearance. 

• Provide formal leadership to the Sorter team and building productive relationships with store teams including staff and volunteers, assisting in achievement of financial targets. 

• Monitor industry trends and best practice in retail and warehouse management, applying relevant learnings to the local context. 

• In consultation with the Business Manager, identify and implement strategies to maximise profitability, including stock management, pricing, merchandising, and promotional activities. 

• Take accountability for contributing to achieving budgeted revenue and expense targets for the warehouse and clearance program, including monitoring and reporting on financial performance. 

• Produce and update rosters, adjusting tasks based on daily workflow requirements. 

• Analyse business performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to the Business Manager. 

• Oversee the management of GST delivery, daily fulfilment of shop orders, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational data. 

• Represent the warehouse and Clearance Function in organisational meetings, projects, and initiatives as required. 

• Provide coaching and support to team members in the Warehouse and stores to foster engagement, accountability and cross unit collaboration. 

• Ensure compliance with organisational safety standards and promote a culture of safety. 

What makes a difference for us? 

• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and volunteers in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment, ideally in a high-volume or multi-site setting  

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including stock flow, inventory management, and production workflows 

• Experience in retail operations, including merchandising, pricing, and monitoring sales performance 

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate and resolve operational challenges 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Retail, Warehousing, Logistics or Business is desirable but not essential  

• Open Australian Drivers License
