SuperSportBet is hiring a Social Media Specialist to join the marketing team in Cape Town.  The core outcome of the role will be the distribution of multi – format content assets onto owned social media platforms in line with audiences and platform best practices. The role works closely with brand and content creator teams, to maximise the reach, engagement and performance of content assets.

The role requires high levels of social media expertise, be very organized with high levels of attention to detail and the individual must have sports category experience.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of hands-on social media execution experience, either agency or in-house
• A genuine passion for sport is non-negotiable — we need someone who lives and breathes sports culture, debate and banter on social platforms
• Proven experience using a social media management tool such as Sprout, Brandwatch or Meltwater to plan and execute content

Publish

• Own the publishing calendar aligned to marketing calendar
• Schedule planned posts across owned platforms
• Implement ad hoc posts as required
• Optimise content across owned platforms
• Add captions | copy | # | to creative assets
• Generate and add links driving traffic to website
• Collaborations with partners

Engage

• Identify trending conversations across external platforms
• Highlight content requirements based on external conversations
• Identify individuals generating conversations as possible future collaborators
• Engage in relevant banter and debate with owned audiences

Optimise

• Weekly and monthly platform and content insights and analytics to showcase success and improve performance
• Identify future content opportunities
• Identify future assets requirements | edits required

Collaborate with

• Social Media CS agents to align current support responses
• Brand and content teams to provide recommendations for content creation AND assets required
• Design teams to update headline banners | platform assets | response templates
• Performance marketing team on platform access and updates

Tool Management

• Own the set up and updates on the Social Media management tool including tag management | categories | access
• Works Across the Following Platforms: Not limited to.
• Facebook | Instagram | LinkedIn | YouTube | X | TikTok
