Rakuten Rakuma was established in 2012, during the early days of the flea market app industry. (The app “Fril” was launched in 2012 and merged with the former “Rakuma” in 2018.)
Although more than 10 years have passed since the emergence of flea market apps, both their transaction volume and user base continue to grow.
Within the Rakuten Group, Rakuma enjoys particularly strong support among younger users (ages 10-30) and plays a key role in acquiring new Rakuten members. By leveraging the assets of the Rakuten ecosystem, Rakuma continues to pursue a safe and secure transaction experience.
