As an Configuration Applications Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
Leading application pre-enabling, product development, and/or product hardening to launch future products and provide customer support.
Engage as a technical expert or trusted technical advisor to drive Altera value and differentiation in configuration enablement
Deliver collateral and training for Altera’s FPGA configuration and programming solutions. Drive product improvements that minimize the need for explicit enabling and maximize scale adoption.
Debug configuration-related issues, determine root cause, and drive corrective action within the organization
Develop & validate design examples on development kits to showcase Altera FPGA configuration features
Develop technical documentation such as device handbook, user guides, tutorials & application notes for key features/applications of FPGA configuration methods
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM fields (documentation related to Bachelor's degree completion will be required).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have 3+ years of experience in:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
Board bring up and systematic debugging skills.
Analytical with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive issues to closure
Experience in one or more of the following areas: FPGA and CPLD technologies, digital logic design, industrial I/O standards, flash interfaces, RTL, Verilog/VHDL programming, C and Python programming or hardware/board debug.
Highly motivated to learn and adapt to fast-changing technologies and environments.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple issues and deliverables simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded boot (Uboot, Linux)
Board logic design including device interconnection, flash interfaces
Experience in device security (including encryption and authentication).
