As a Senior Product Owner – Order Management Platform, you will own the vision, strategy, and delivery of the core Order Management capabilities that power our e-commerce ecosystem. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, operations, fulfillment, customer service, payments, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and efficient order management solutions.

You will ensure seamless order orchestration across multiple sales channels, warehouses, logistics providers, and payment systems while continuously improving operational efficiency and customer experience. You will be accountable for delivering measurable business outcomes and platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the Order Management Platform, aligning with the overall e-commerce and business strategy.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from discovery, planning, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable platform capabilities.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it remains 3–4 sprints ahead with clearly defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Drive continuous improvements across the entire order lifecycle including:
• Order capture
• Order validation
• Inventory reservation
• Payment authorization
• Order routing
• Fulfillment
• Shipping
• Returns
• Refunds
• Order cancellation
• Work closely with Engineering, Solution Architects, QA, UX, Data teams, and DevOps to deliver highly available and scalable platform services.
• Manage integrations with key enterprise systems including:
• ERP
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Payment Gateways
• CRM
• Marketplace partners
• Third-party logistics providers (3PL)
• Define product KPIs and operational metrics including:
• Order Success Rate
• Order Processing Time
• Fulfillment SLA
• Order Failure Rate
• Platform Availability
• Return Rate
• Customer Satisfaction
• Monitor production performance and continuously optimize platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, stakeholder demos, and roadmap reviews.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and Operations teams to identify production issues and prioritize enhancements.
• Partner with Product Leadership to define business value, investment priorities, and platform evolution.
• Leverage customer insights, operational analytics, and market trends to identify opportunities for automation and innovation.
• Drive adoption of modern Order Management capabilities including distributed order management, omnichannel fulfillment, ship-from-store, click-and-collect, and intelligent order routing.
• Align product decisions with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner, Product Manager, or Product Lead delivering enterprise-scale Order Management or Supply Chain platforms.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce order lifecycle and omnichannel retail operations.
• Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and fulfillment ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of order orchestration, inventory management, fulfillment workflows, shipping, returns, and payment processing.
• Experience managing B2C e-commerce platforms with high transaction volumes.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and system integrations.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing business needs while balancing technical debt and platform scalability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business, operations, engineering, and executive leadership.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience defining and tracking product and operational KPIs using data-driven decision making.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to leverage operational insights and predictive analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to coach teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Passion for building scalable enterprise platforms that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms, modern commerce architectures, and enterprise integration patterns is highly desirable.
