About this role:
The Senior Director, Marketing & Communications controls the flow of information between the MATTE agency and the public. Reporting to the agency’s Managing Director, the role will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s marketing strategies, public relations campaigns, internal communications, and is the company’s face at media events. The Senior Director, Marketing & Communications will be responsible for:
Marketing
- Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members (most importantly trade and fashion), influencers, and community leaders
- Proactively pitch Matte to the press on an ongoing basis
- Help land leadership engagements at industry events, judging opportunities, panels and conferences
- Conceptualize and oversee GTM strategy for Matte brand in partnership with strategy team
- Create and launch press releases in conjunction with client PR teams and help pitch to press
- Handle award submissions for client work
Communications
- Develop a cohesive communications strategy and thought leadership calendar in conjunction with strategy team
- Manage editorial calendar for brand presence across all channels, including linkedin, instagram and website
- Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions
- Help to manage any internal comms needs as appropriate
Brand
- Partner with the brand and events team to create thoughtful reportage around Matte Brand events and IP
- Help integrate business goals into Matte brand events and manage related outcomes
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline
- 7-plus years of communications, marketing or public relations or related experience
- Experience managing digital content
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Established media relationships
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
