Job Description Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating shipping activities, preparing shipment documentation, maintaining accurate order records, and communicating with shipping carriers.The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Job Description:
Seasonal Duties
- Print all pick list orders.
- Assign shipping carriers based on the weight and destination of orders.
- Create shipment labels, bills of lading, and manifests using courier software.
- Communicate with shipment carriers.
- Schedule delivery pickups.
- Change the status of all open fulfillment orders in the database and attach tracking information.
- Track orders to ensure timely deliveries.
General Job Duties
- Perform data entry, including entering shipping and customer information into various web portals and business systems for the purpose of shipping and tracking customer orders.
- Create bills of lading and carrier-specific shipping documents.
- Create labels for the warehouse.
- Order supplies.
- File damage claims if necessary.
- Assist with general duties in the warehouse as directed by management.
- Communicate general and specific information to management as needed.
- Organize company documentation following required recordkeeping procedures.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, good manufacturing practices, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- PC literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain good attendance.
