Sobre esta vaga de Research Fellow (Condensed Matter Physics) na Nanyang Technological University
Join Our Team at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
We are looking for a research fellow specialized in fractional quantum Hall systems. The role will focus on the study of topological properties in strongly correlated systems.
This job requires expertise in topological phases of matter, strongly correlated systems and quantum numerical simulations, in particular related to the fractional quantum Hall effect and fractional Chern insulator.
We would like to explore the fundamental aspects of such topological systems and understand the proper conditions for them to be realized in experiments.
The job will involve the development of new mathematical tools and/or large scale numerical analysis of correlated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Theoretical development of the microscopic theory, as well as both analytic and numerical tools for studying the fractional quantum Hall effect.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate should have a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics or closely related fields,
- Be highly motivated with good analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication skills and able to work in a team.
We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
