Job Description:

Customer

• Optimizes delivery outcomes across complex, multi‑ART or platform‑level systems by orchestrating interactions between delivery systems rather than managing execution directly.
• Establishes planning, escalation, and governance guardrails that enable reliable delivery across multiple ARTs, Product Groups, or tightly coupled platforms and journeys
• Anticipates, frames, and escalates structural, cross‑system, and regulatory risks, supporting informed decision‑making by senior leaders
• Aligns and coordinates planning cycles, dependencies, and priorities across systems, ensuring coherence without direct control of team‑level execution
• Provides delivery guidance at executive and senior leadership levels, clearly articulating trade‑offs, options, and impacts across complex delivery ecosystems
• Coaches and calibrates RTE II and RTE I roles, reinforcing disciplined orchestration, escalation practices, and consistent application of the layered RTE model
• Partners with Product, Technology, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and control functions to ensure delivery remains aligned to enterprise priorities and risk appetite
• Monitors system‑level delivery health and trends, intervening where necessary to reduce systemic volatility and improve predictability over time

Shareholder

• Safeguards shareholder outcomes by anticipating, framing, and influencing enterprise‑level delivery risk across complex, multi‑system environments.
• Applies deep expertise to anticipate structural, cross‑system, and regulatory risks that may impact enterprise delivery confidence
• Influences the evolution of delivery, engineering, and service standards by providing insight drawn from complex system orchestration
• Establishes and interprets system‑of‑systems metrics and signals to identify volatility, systemic risk, and sustainability concerns
• Engages with senior governance, risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders to advise on delivery risk, controls, and mitigation strategies
• Leads cross‑platform or cross‑journey risk discussions to support informed executive decision‑making
• Protects the interests of the organization by escalating and framing non‑standard, high‑risk delivery situations with clear options and implications
• Reinforces a culture of enterprise risk management and control aligned to TD’s risk appetite across complex delivery ecosystems
• This role protects shareholder interests through enterprise‑level risk stewardship and system stability,

Breadth & Depth

• Applies deep expertise in Agile delivery and system orchestration to coordinate and stabilize complex delivery ecosystems, including multi‑ART, cross‑platform, or highly regulated environments.
• Serves as a system‑of‑systems Release Train Engineer, operating across Product Groups, Product Families, Platforms, or Journeys with tightly coupled dependencies
• Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in Agile and scaled delivery practices, applying systems thinking to anticipate and mitigate structural delivery risks
• Optimizes interactions between delivery systems by aligning planning cycles, dependencies, and escalation paths without direct control of team‑level execution
• Coaches and calibrates RTE II and RTE I roles, reinforcing disciplined orchestration, escalation practices, and adherence to the layered RTE model
• Advises executive and senior leaders on delivery options, trade‑offs, and risks across complex delivery environments
• Partners with Agile Coaches, Architecture, Product, Technology, Operations, and control functions to resolve cross‑system impediments that threaten enterprise outcomes
• Interprets internal and external delivery challenges and recommends system‑level solutions that improve sustainability and predictability
• Influences enterprise delivery practices by sharing insights drawn from complex orchestration contexts and emerging industry trends

Experience and/or Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration; advanced education preferred
• Typically 10+ years of Agile delivery experience, including sustained work in scaled or highly complex delivery environments
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in senior Agile delivery roles such as Release Train Engineer, Agile Coach, Program Manager, Product role, or equivalent, operating beyond single‑ART contexts
• Advanced Agile credentials such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ACSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience coaching and calibrating multiple teams and delivery leaders within large‑scale or regulated Agile transformations
• Proven credibility advising senior and executive stakeholders on delivery options, systemic risks, and operating model implications
• Experience applying Agile management tooling and metrics at system‑of‑systems level to interpret trends, volatility, and sustainability
