JOB TITLE: Relationship Support
SALARY: £30,201
LOCATION(S): Basildon
HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of our time in the Basildon office.
Please note – due to the technicalities of the role, side-by-side training is required, so there is an expectation for 100% office attendance for at least the first 6 weeks.

What you’ll be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive and well-organised colleague looking to build and enhance their career within Merchant Services.
As an Associate Relationship Manager in the Client Delivery Team, you’ll be part of a dedicated, multi-skilled Onboarding and Servicing team, supporting some of our largest and more complex clients.
You’ll help deliver excellent service to our most valuable Merchant Services clients, working closely with Relationship Managers, internal teams and customers to resolve queries, support onboarding activity and maintain strong working relationships.
This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly, develop personally and professionally, and collaborate with an ambitious team as we continue to build and grow our business.
In this role, you’ll:
- Service day-to-day queries and maintain relationships with Corporate CIB/CIC and BCB customers, providing excellent customer service and operational support
- Act as the “go to” specialist for operational issues, supporting customers, Merchant Services colleagues and Relationship Managers
- Support the successful implementation of major new merchant accounts into Merchant Services
- Lead and support operational changes, helping to improve the service we provide to clients
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to deliver the best outcomes for customers and the Bank.

What we’re looking for?
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, either in person or remotely
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities throughout the day
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating at all levels
- Experience taking ownership of complex queries, using problem-solving skills and persistence to reach a solution
- A proactive approach to workload, personal development, risk management and adapting to change for the benefit of clients and the Bank.
