Project management, coordination, implementation, and monitoring
- Effective coordination and implementation of project activities aimed at encouraging community climate resilience with a focus on ecosystem-based solutions and ensuring there are successful climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives, focusing on nature/ecosystem-based solutions
- Maintain quality implementation and monitoring of activities
- Timely coordination, consultation, and communication with technical specialists and direct reports to ensure smooth & quality implementation of the activities.
- Prudently manage project budget and financial compliance of the grant.
High Quality of Documentation
- Ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner meeting reporting requirement
- Manage the coordination of project assessments and evaluations
- Present Regular progress reports at appropriate meetings
- Submit monthly reports
- Train field staff on how to develop their monthly work plan
- Conduct monthly learning and reflection sessions
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Tropical Agriculture. Any knowledge of climate-smart agriculture and tropical agriculture is preferable.
- Diploma qualifications in Project Management
- 3 years or more experience in community development or in a relief and development setting with more than 3 years experience in project management is sufficient.
- Experience working and networking with partners in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville is a bonus
- Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing
- Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English
- Computer literate
