Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Data Centers team.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning, engineering coordination, execution, commissioning, and handover of mission-critical electrical and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
You will join a global engineering and project delivery team committed to delivering resilient, scalable, and sustainable digital infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end electrical infrastructure project delivery: Direct the entire project lifecycle from initial concept and design review through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), integrated systems testing, and final operational turnover, ensuring strict adherence to schedule milestones, financial targets, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder alignment: Collaborate closely with internal design disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and controls), utility providers, clients, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors, and equipment vendors to resolve technical interfaces and execute integrated project plans.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance: Champion an uncompromising safety culture by enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, managing project and commercial risks, and verifying that all installations meet utility interconnection requirements and international engineering standards, including the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of electrical infrastructure project management experience: A demonstrable track record of directing complex, large-scale electrical engineering and construction projects within mission-critical data centers, power generation plants, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Strong technical expertise in high-capacity power systems: Deep functional mastery of Extra High Voltage (EHV), High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) distribution networks, utility grid substations, power system studies, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, standby diesel generators, and automated systems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
- Proven ability in commercial management and project leadership: Expertise in contract negotiation, budget forecasting, change management, vendor administration, and cross-functional leadership across technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering: A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (with recognized industry credentials such as Project Management Professional [PMP] or Certified Data Centre Professional [CDCP] considered an advantage).
