We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Project Manager. As an integral part of our Bids and Project team, you will play a crucial role in promoting Thales as a trusted partner to the Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF) and Ministry of Defense (MOD), delivering on all key milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring successful transition and project launch
• Execute, monitor, and control projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budgets and financial structures
• Oversee defense contract procedures, including quotations, bids, contracts, deliveries, and payments
• Foster strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and industrial partners
• Anticipate and resolve any issues or risks that may impact project delivery
• Provide local support to Thales Global Business Units, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability
• Support the generation of future orders and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Projects are delivered with the highest quality standards and in accordance with contractual requirements
• Document preparation, including translation from English to Japanese and vice versa

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related discipline
• 5 to 10 years of project management experience, delivering large projects in a technically complex environment
• Experience in the delivery of industrial or hardware projects
• Strong supply chain management skills
• Experience working with the Ministry of Defense (MOD) and knowledge of its processes
• Bid management experience is a plus
• Business-level proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and a team player
• Able to do frequent travel within Japan or overseas (duration of 1-2 weeks)
• Due to project requirements, Japanese citizenship is mandatory

要件：

• 工学関連分野の学士号
• 技術的に複雑な環境で大規模プロジェクトを遂行する、5～10 年のプロジェクト管理経験
• 産業またはハードウェアプロジェクトの実施経験
• 強力なサプライチェーン管理スキル
• 国防省と協力した経験とそのプロセスに関する知識
• 入札管理の経験があれば尚可
• ビジネスレベルの英語能力（読み書き及び会話）
• 強力な組織力、自発性、チームプレイヤーである
• 頻繁に国内または海外に出張できる方（1～2週間程度）
• プロジェクトの要件により、日本国籍が必須となります
