On this team you will have the opportunity to turn creative ideas into reality, affecting products that are utilized by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide.As a Principal Software Developer in our AI R&D team, you will be expected to provide mentorship, solve complex problems, and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Your Impact
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with Software Development, Data Science, and Product Management teams to design, architect, and deliver next generation AI products, leveraging Generative AI, agentic systems, and machine learning technologies to create differentiated customer experiences and business value.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative software products and platform capabilities, from concept through production deployment.
- Drive technical architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices that improve scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and domain experts to identify opportunities for product innovation and technology modernization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and development frameworks, translating new capabilities into practical solutions for customers.
- Influence technical direction across multiple teams and initiatives while balancing business priorities, customer needs, and engineering excellence.
- Champion software quality through strong engineering practices, automation, observability, testing, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers across all experience levels, fostering engineering excellence, innovation, continuous learning, and a strong culture of collaboration.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related technical field.
- 8+ years of progressive software development experience.
- Proficient with at least one of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, C#, C++.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering complex software products in production environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, cloud native applications, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and influencing architecture decisions at scale.
- Experience building highly available, performant, and secure enterprise grade applications.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices including DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and observability.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to balance technical excellence, product requirements, and business objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Passion in finding creative solutions to problems, and pride in well crafted code.
