About the Role

Blueprint is seeking a Principal Product Lead to guide product strategy, prioritization, and cross-team planning for a complex federal healthcare program. This person will be accountable for connecting user and stakeholder needs to a clear roadmap and ensuring product investments are sequenced around measurable value.

The Principal Product Lead will collaborate with users, business stakeholders, program leaders, engineering teams, data teams, and delivery partners. The role will create transparent intake and prioritization practices, align competing needs, and help teams make informed decisions about what to deliver and when.

What You’ll Do

• Own and maintain the product roadmap across a complex, multi-team delivery environment.
• Establish and lead intake-to-prioritization governance for new requests, enhancements, and cross-team initiatives.
• Align users, business stakeholders, technical teams, and program leaders around product goals, priorities, and sequencing.
• Define how product value will be measured and use outcomes and evidence to guide roadmap decisions.
• Sequence cross-team product work based on user needs, dependencies, risk, capacity, and expected value.
• Create clear decision-making practices for evaluating competing priorities and resolving roadmap conflicts.
• Translate stakeholder needs and program objectives into actionable product direction for engineering and data teams.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and coordinate planning across product, engineering, data, and program workstreams.
• Communicate roadmap decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and progress to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Promote continuous discovery, feedback, and learning throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in proposal-related oral presentation preparation and presentation activities as required for this key personnel role.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading product strategy, roadmap development, or portfolio planning in a complex delivery environment.
• Experience designing or managing intake, prioritization, and governance processes across multiple teams or stakeholder groups.
• Experience aligning user needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery dependencies.
• Experience defining product outcomes and using qualitative and quantitative evidence to measure value and guide decisions.
• Ability to facilitate decisions among stakeholders with competing priorities and build alignment around a shared roadmap.
• Ability to translate complex program needs into clear product direction, sequencing, and communications.
• Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, data, operations, and program leadership teams.
• Experience operating at a principal, enterprise, or program leadership level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal healthcare, public-sector healthcare, or similarly regulated product environments.
• Experience leading product work across data-intensive platforms or programs with multiple source systems and stakeholder groups.
• Experience establishing product operating models, portfolio governance, or cross-team planning practices.
• Experience using outcome-based roadmaps, value measures, and user feedback to guide investment decisions.
• Experience participating in client presentations, solution reviews, or proposal oral presentations.

Compensation

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.

The anticipated compensation range is $174,300 to $205,900 USD annually, with a midpoint of $190,100. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final compensation and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Northern Virginia area. Occasional onsite attendance in Baltimore, Maryland, will be required for key kickoffs and other important program activities.
