Sobre esta vaga de People & Culture Business Partner | Brisbane, West End na Goodlife Health Clubs
About Fitness & Lifestyle Group
Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is Asia Pacific's largest group of corporately owned health and wellness clubs — 310+ locations, 600,000+ members, and five of the region's most recognised fitness brands: Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs, Jetts Fitness, Zap Fitness and Barry's.
We're headquartered in Australia with regional offices across South East Asia, and we're on a mission to help our global community live stronger, happier lives.
The Opportunity
FLG is one of the largest fitness and lifestyle businesses in the Southern Hemisphere, and behind every great club experience is a leader who knows how to look after their people. As a People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll be the person senior leaders come to for the complex, high-stakes people matters: a tricky ER case, a change process or contributing to a leadership development initiative. You’ll shape how decisions get made, not just support them after the fact.
This is a hands-on, influence-heavy role. You’ll lead a P&C Advisor, partner closely with senior stakeholders, and have real input into workforce planning and change initiatives that affect how our clubs, and wider business, run day to day. If you want to be a strategic partner rather than a process administrator, this is built for that.
The Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to understand what’s really going on in their business and shape proactive, practical people solutions
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disputes and case management, balancing commercial and risk considerations
- Coach and manage a P&C Advisor, supporting their development and the consistency of the advice they give
- Interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation to keep people decisions defensible and fair
- Lead and support restructures, consultations and organisational design work alongside the leaders involved
- Use people data and reporting to give senior stakeholders insight that actually changes how they lead
- Drive initiatives across engagement, retention, succession and leadership development within your portfolio
- Collaborate with the wider P&C function and Corporate Services (Legal, Safety, Talent, L&D, Payroll) to keep the people experience joined up
About You
You’re someone who can sit across the table from a senior leader and hold your ground, backed by sound judgement and a genuine understanding of risk and commercial reality. You’re a critical thinker who doesn’t just answer the question asked, you dig into what’s actually driving it. You’ve probably spent time managing escalated ER cases and coaching others through them, and you’re comfortable with Awards or EAs. Whether you’re an existing business partner, a senior advisor ready to step into a partnering role, or a standalone HR generalist who’s quietly picked up a bit of everything and wants the structure and support of a bigger team, you’ll fit in here if you’re proactive, resilient under pressure, and genuinely interested in helping leaders do right by their people.

- Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders, with strong relationship-building skills
