Radiology Aide  - Radiology - Part Time (15 Hours)

Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support while escorting patients to areas throughout the hospital conducting yourself in a courteous manner and responding to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly. Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families. Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

This is a part time (Friday/Saturday 11:00pm-7:00am) position at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester, NY. This position will require transporting of patients and assisting with positioning of patients in the scanner, so some heavy lifting will be required. The candidate will also need to pass MRI Safety Screening, so any medical implants or history of metallic foreign body injury will need to be disclosed as they will be working inside the magnetic field of the MRI scanner.

Preferred Criteria

• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with patients, patient’s families, physicians, and other health care providers when assisting in MRI.

• Organizational skills necessary to implement several tasks simultaneously and to coordinate work within the department.

• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 100% of work time when performing computer data entry.

• Must be emotionally mature and able to function under stress.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
