Your role and responsibilities

ABB is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Support Intern to join our Motion Services (MOSE) team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to production planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, and operational excellence within a global industrial organization. You will work closely with Planning & Fulfillment, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations teams to support planning activities, analyze operational data, and contribute to process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

This role is contributing to the Motion Service in Singapore . Main stakeholders are Motion Service customers across various markets.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support production planning and scheduling activities by assisting with demand forecasting, production plans, delivery commitments, capacity planning, and monitoring key planning performance indicators.
• Analyze operational and planning data to support inventory management, production reporting, forecast accuracy tracking, bottleneck identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining ERP and planning systems, managing planning parameters, reviewing MRP-related information, and ensuring accurate and timely operational data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Planning & Fulfillment, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to support daily planning activities, resolve operational issues, and improve planning effectiveness.

Qualifications for the role

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support operational decision-making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to work with large datasets, reports, and dashboards.
• Demonstrated interest in supply chain, production planning, forecasting, manufacturing operations, or business process improvement.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), automation tools, or AI-assisted productivity solutions is an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a commitment to safety, integrity, and professionalism aligned with ABB's values.
