We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in Investment Management Operations to manage the risk profile for Global MSIM Operations teams that includes risk identification, reporting, mitigation to ensure compliance with firm and operations policies.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:
Execute complex processes and assist a Team Manager in coordinating processes, risks and/or projects in a Team Lead capacity.
Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and leverage detailed knowledge to propose changes in process
Train others, allocate tasks and support with first line escalation where required
Share expert knowledge across the team, contribute to team output and development, building relationships across the Firm.
Risk monitoring and reporting for the MSIM Operations teams, 3rd party services, In scope UK CASS legal entities supporting the Investment Management business.
Responsible for supporting all vendor governance processes in the management/oversight of service due diligence that includes the lifecycle of on-boarding a 3rd party service within a firm
Periodic functional risk assessments and reporting to Senior Stakeholders- Metrics Reporting and Senior Management reporting through data collation and attending meetings as appropriate.

What you'll bring to the role:
At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team
Ability to operate independently with respect to some job responsibilities
Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values
Basic knowledge of a mutual funds business is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to manage senior stakeholders is required
Knowledge/build/usage of user-led automation tools like PowerBI, Alteryx & UiPath would be an added advantage
Experience of regulatory governance and knowledge of UK CASS rules is preferred
Experience of assessing the root cause of risk incidents and/or identifying/implementing control enhancements
