Responsibilities:

General Purpose: Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned inpatient unit. Golisano Children’s Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed Nurse Manager to co-lead the 68-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Newborn Nursery, the largest inpatient unit within the Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical and leadership skills, excellent interpersonal communication, strategic problem-solving, and a clear vision for advancing nursing practice, quality, safety, staff engagement, and the patient and family experience. This individual must be results-driven, proactive, and able to continue the unit’s forward momentum while collaborating closely with nursing, medical, and interdisciplinary leadership. Responsibilities include oversight of clinical operations, staffing and workforce development, human resource management, budget and resource management, implementation of evidence-based standards of care, and ongoing quality improvement. A minimum of 5 years of NICU nursing experience and 3 years of unit-based nursing leadership experience are required.
