Molding Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates and leads daily operations within the injection molding or mold manufacturing area to meet safety, quality, and production objectives.
Execute production planning and evaluate manufacturing process flow in collaboration with the cross-functional team to drive continuous improvements, enhance efficiency, and maximize resource utilization within the Molding area.
Support the Manufacturing Manager and cross-functional teams by participating in the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives, projects, and operational processes required for the Molding department.
Participate in decision-making related to Molding business plans to ensure the achievement of plant objectives and operational targets.
Exercise authority to stop any process or product that may pose a risk to employee safety, facility integrity, product quality, or customer requirements.
Ensure the effective execution of activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Operating System.
Drive compliance with divisional and local policies, procedures, environmental health and safety standards, and labor agreements related to production personnel.
Lead, coach, train, develop, and evaluate direct reports to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Monitor, analyze, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily basis with the Molding leadership team, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous operational improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, quality improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancements.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout all molding operations.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, etc.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within injection molding, plastics, or high-volume production operations.
- Experience leading production teams and driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and problem-solving tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, with the ability to train, coach, and evaluate employees while fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
