About The Role:
We are seeking an agile, data-savvy Merchant – SIOP & Retail Operations to sit at the vital intersection of our Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and our expanding wholesale and retail partnership channels.
In this dual-impact role, you will act as a key operational merchant—translating complex DTC demand velocity, promotional calendars, and retail partner forecasts into precise procurement strategies, inventory balancing, and vendor execution. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Brand, Finance, and Retail Account Management to optimize order fulfillment, prevent stockouts, and drive key metrics around cost, quality, and delivery.
The ideal candidate brings proven merchandise planning or supply chain expertise within fast-paced DTC, CPG, beauty, lifestyle, or wellness environments, combining sharp analytical skills with a deep understanding of multi-channel inventory allocation.
Duties and Responsibilities
SIOP & Inventory Strategy (DTC & Retail)

Play an active role in driving the monthly SIOP cadence- pulling, synthesizing, and analyzing demand signals from DTC channels, marketing promotions, and wholesale accounts to propose aligned supply strategies.

Responsible for analyzing and balancing inventory across all distribution centers (DCs) as a percentage of sales, ensuring seamless stock allocation between DTC e-commerce demand and retail/wholesale partner purchase orders.

Partner directly with Account Management and Retail teams to forecast retail inventory requirements, manage retailer-specific compliance/lead times, and reserve inventory for key retail partners.

Maintain absolute transactional integrity across ERP (NetSuite), WMS, and inventory systems—ensuring exact synchronization between physical stock, open POs, and channel availability.

Drive key metric improvements across vendor delivery assurance, product quality, safety stock maintenance, and total cost of goods sold (COGS).

Maintain strategic vendor relationships, execute sourcing strategies around fulfillment, and lead initiatives to reduce lead times and improve agility.

Identify and execute cost-savings initiatives, support contract negotiations, and align vendor performance with brand margin goals.

Collaborate with Product Development, Retail and Brand Marketing teams to support the operational rollout and timely inventory readiness for new beauty and hair care product launches.

Read and interpret complex demand signals to execute timely Purchase Orders (POs) aligned with company revenue goals, proactively mitigating stockouts.

Execute high-urgency PO placements with a target turnaround time of under 24 hours from internal requests, managing edge-case supplier lead times to safeguard on-time delivery.

Manage inbound freight strategies, build comprehensive shipment schedules, and coordinate carrier timing with DC operations.

Oversee and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies alongside Finance to maintain accurate inventory valuation.

Qualifications

4-6 years of experience in merchant planning, SIOP/S&OP, inventory management, or supply chain procurement.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Merchandising, Data Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.

Proven experience within DTC, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Beauty, Haircare, Personal Care, Lifestyle, or Wellness sectors.

Demonstrated experience handling inventory allocation for multi-channel operations (DTC e-commerce alongside major retail/wholesale accounts).

3–5+ years of hands-on data analysis and Purchase Order management experience.

Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel) and modern ERP/WMS software (NetSuite strongly preferred).

Strong familiarity with international sourcing, global freight management, and vendor negotiations.
