Mandarin Language Interpreter- Job Description:

Mandarin Language Interpreter role in a voice processing job where candidates will be receiving medical profiled emergency calls, which needs to be live interpreted.

Responsibilities:

1. Mandarin Language Interpreters need to render correct concepts and meanings between foreign language (Mandarin) and English following complexity, clarity, tone, and style from one language to another, upholding the correct rules for grammar and syntax in both languages.
2. Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and be prepared for challenging calls at any time.
3. Employs good customer service and communication skills, clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression.
4. Follows instructions for clients, manages the flow of the call, and avoids taking over the call, as well as avoids interaction with the limited English speaker person without the client's permission.
5. Remains calm during calls in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.
6. Remains punctual and available during scheduled work hours.
7. Ensures access to the internet for work-related electronic communication.
8. All other duties as assigned.

All the Mandarin Language Interpreter applicants should be comfortable with Rotational Shifts (Including nights).

Requirements

Minimum Requirements for the Mandarin Language Interpreter role:

1. High Schools degree or equivalent.
2. Fluency in English and Foreign language Mandarin (HSK4/Native speakers with an OCI card)
3. Advanced skills in the cultural dynamics (cultural implication and idiomatic expression) of foreign language (Mandarin).
4. Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
5. Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times.
6. Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.
