Job Summary:

The Corporate Communications Manager has the primary responsibility to design, develop and implement employee and change management communications for CSA Group globally. This role will manage employee communications to support company communications across a variety of channels including our corporate intranet, CSA Connect. The Corporate Communications Manager delivers detailed, accurate and timely information to employee audiences that are aligned with overall global business strategies and goals. Leads, develops and executes various elements of corporate communications plans. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to assist with their communication needs. Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to build strategic communications plans leveraging a variety of internal channels.

Responsibilities:

• Partners with the Director, Corporate Communications to plan and execute strategic employee communications programs designed to support global business strategies and goals. Supports execution of employee engagement, change management, and other employee communications deliverables.
• Develops and executes internal and external communications programs to engage employees and enhance understanding of CSA Group’s global business strategy and initiatives.
• Acts as Editorial Lead for CSA Group’s Intranet; develops and delivers editorial calendar and content
• Leverages a variety of channels and tactics to engage employees, including events, written, digital, videos, etc.
• Owns execution of key employee communications deliverables, such as the Town Halls, emails and newsletters. Supports change management communications around key corporate initiatives.
• Builds and manages an ‘editorial calendar’ to plan what employee communication will be released when to align with key activities coming from various functions across CSA.
• Monitors and measures the success of employee communications campaigns and materials. Provides feedback and recommendations to further enhance the organization’s message and employee engagement programs.
• World class writer and editor, ensuring all employee communications are mistake free, support the strategic corporate messaging, and help tell the CSA story internally.
• Acts as the first point of contact for all Internal Communications queries within the organization.
• Produces and develops materials for issues and crisis communications materials in a dynamic environment. Participates in development of sensitive and timely communications materials. Ensures all projects are communicated to and coordinated with employee teams as required.
• Develops financial estimates for projects and monitors overall project expenditures following budget approval. Measures and analyzes results. Anticipates project resource needs for management consideration.

Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, English or Journalism is required.
• Minimum of 5 years internal or employee communications experience in a corporate environment.
• Proven experience owning intranet strategy and content development.
• Proven hands-on experience developing and executing employee communications strategies and campaigns.
• Previous experience managing communications for large-scale change management projects.
• Previous experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with last minute changes in plans and direction is required.

Skills:

• Superior interpersonal, relationship building, negotiating, communication and presentation skills.

• Proven ability aligning and integrating employee communications strategies and tactics with the strategic marketing plan, public relations, social activity, corporate thought leadership, business strategy and brand vision.

• Excellent writing and editing skills in both traditional and digital formats with a high attention to accuracy and detail required.

• Excellent time and project management skills.

The typical hiring range for this position is $88,260 –$115,836 CAD gross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
