You will help shape transformative Gender Studies curricula, with a special focus on Trans and Queer Studies scholarship.
You will develop your research profile, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to an inclusive, socially engaged School culture.
What you will deliver:
- Coordinate and deliver engaging undergraduate and honours subjects in Gender Studies, including high-enrolment classes and team teaching.
- Design inclusive, innovative curricula and technology-enhanced learning resources that support an increasingly diverse student cohort.
- Undertake high-quality research in Trans and Queer Studies, producing peer-reviewed publications and seeking competitive grant funding.
- Supervise honours, graduate coursework and research higher degree students, fostering collaborative and multidisciplinary projects.
- Contribute to School and Faculty leadership, committees, and external engagement, including national and international partnerships.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a completed PhD in Gender Studies or a closely related discipline.
- Specialise in Trans and Queer Studies with a research focus that complements existing Gender Studies strengths.
- Demonstrate excellence in tertiary teaching, including coordinating subjects, developing curricula and delivering high-enrolment classes.
- Supervise honours and postgraduate coursework theses, and contribute to research higher degree supervision.
- Maintain a strong, developing publication record and show capacity to secure competitive research grants and consultancies.
- Apply inclusive pedagogies and collegial behaviours that support diverse students and embody Faculty of Arts values.
