Sobre esta vaga de IT Project / Product Consultant SAP - (0083 August 2026) na Royal Ocean Marine
The SAP Project Manager / Consultant bridges the gap between global maritime operations and enterprise technology. You will lead the design, localization, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA systems across our shore offices and global fleet. This role requires translating complex shipping workflows (voyage accounting, vessel maintenance, and remote procurement) into robust SAP architecture while managing third-party system integrators.
Key Responsibilities
📋 1. Project Management & Delivery (40%)
- Lifecycle Leadership: Direct end-to-end SAP implementation tracks (Blueprinting, Realization, Testing, Cutover, and Hypercare) following SAP Activate methodology.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Govern third-party system integrators and act as the primary liaison between commercial chartering desks, technical superintendents, and corporate finance.
- Risk & Scope Mitigation: Manage project timelines, prevent scope creep, and handle change management frameworks to ensure smooth adoption across shore and ocean-going assets.
⚙️ 2. Functional & Architecture Design (35%)
- Voyage Profitability Mapping: Configure SAP FICO / WBS elements to treat every voyage as an independent profit center, capturing freight revenue, demurrage, bunker expenses, and port dues.
- Supply Chain Integration: Oversee the design of SAP MM/Remote Logistics Management to handle complex ship-board procurement, spare parts inventory tracking, and global port delivery coordinates.
- Asset Maintenance (Digital Twin): Align SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) with Fleet Management Systems to track main engine running hours and forecast capital expenses for scheduled dry-dock overhauls.
🔗 3. System Integration & Interface Design (25%)
- Edge & Hybrid Architecture: Design asynchronous middleware interfaces (via SAP BTP) to handle the "disconnected ship" challenge, ensuring vessel data queues and syncs reliably over low-bandwidth satellite networks (VSAT/Starlink).
- Third-Party Ecosystems: Build robust API integrations connecting corporate SAP ledgers to industry-standard commercial software (e.g., Veson IMOS, DNV ShipManager, or BASSnet).
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Maritime Studies, or Finance.
- Certifications: PMP / CITPM or SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA) is highly preferred.
Experience
- Overall Experience: 6 to 10+ years of IT Project Management and hands-on SAP functional consulting experience.
- Industry Domain: At least 3+ years of direct experience within the Maritime, Shipping, or Offshore Energy sectors.
Technical Skills
- Core SAP Modules: Deep expertise in at least two of the following: SAP FICO, SAP MM, SAP PM, or SAP TM (Transportation Management).
- Data & Middleware: Strong knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), data migration pipelines, and handling structured master data cleansing (vessel registries, port master lists).
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical SAP architecture to marine captains and corporate board members alike.
- Resilience and adaptability to handle the operational volatility of international shipping timelines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Project Delivery: Adherence to scheduled budget and timeline milestones for global SAP rollouts.
- System Integration: Minimize data sync latency between third-party maritime software and core SAP ledgers.
- Change Management: High user-adoption rates among shore employees and vessel crews post-hypercare.
