Provide end-to-end HR Business Partnering to the Pakistan Retail Organization, partnering closely with Retail Leadership and Store Management across all key people matters. The role will support business priorities through effective talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, and people operations.
About the Job
HR Business Partnering:
- Partner with Retail Leadership and functional people managers to understand business priorities, provide HR counsel, and translate business needs into effective people solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to Retail Leaders and Store Managers on people matters, including organization effectiveness, performance, talent, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Partner with Retail Leadership on manpower planning, organizational structure, productivity, succession planning, and effective deployment of talent across the Retail organization.
- Work closely with the HR Lead to implement the broader People Strategy and ensure effective execution of HR priorities across the Retail function.
- Support the business in driving a high-performance culture aligned with the LS&Co Way and &Co Expectations.
- Lead and deliver Retail employee engagement, listening, wellness, and culture initiatives in partnership with Retail Leadership.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen DE&I and employee experience across the Retail organization, aligned with the broader country and global strategy.
Employee Relations:
- Provide coaching and guidance to Retail Leaders and Store Managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution.
- Proactively identify potential employee relations and people-risk areas across the Retail organization and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Partner with Retail Leadership and relevant stakeholders on disciplinary matters, performance concerns, grievances, investigations, and other employee relations cases.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, HR processes, and employee relations practices across Retail locations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and legal/statutory requirements, in partnership with the HR Lead and relevant stakeholders.
Talent Management:
- Partner with Retail Leadership on talent identification, succession planning, internal mobility, and development of critical talent across the Retail organization.
- Drive and support the annual performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, calibration, and development planning.
- Partner with Talent & Development on learning interventions and capability-building initiatives aligned with Retail business needs.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of Retail talent, ensuring effective workforce deployment and consistent employee experience.
- Partner with the Rewards team on compensation, benefits, recognition, and other people programs impacting the Retail organization.
HR Operations:
- Monitor Retail workforce metrics and provide regular dashboards, analysis, and data-driven insights to Retail Leadership and the HR Lead based on AI models.
- Prepare Annual Budgets and 5 years rolling forecasts around People related cost and areas in contrast to the business plans.
- Maintain and ensure integrity of employee data across Workday, AskHR, and other relevant HR systems.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, processes, and practices in line with business requirements, company standards, and applicable legal requirements.
- Drive effective execution of HR processes across Retail locations and ensure alignment with country HR guidelines and governance.
Key Relationships:
- Internal stakeholders include Retail Leadership, Retail Teams, Country Leadership Team, Finance, Administration, Talent & Development, Rewards, and other partners.
- External stakeholders may include recruitment agencies, outsourcing partners, HR service providers, local legal counsel, and other relevant vendors.
About You
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in management sciences.
- 5–6 years of experience in HR, with strong experience in HR Business Partnering, preferably within Retail, Consumer, FMCG, or a customer-facing business environment.
- Experience partnering with business leaders and frontline/store-based teams across multiple locations.
- Experience with Workday, SAP, or other HRIS / ATS systems.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements in Pakistan.
