Summary of the role:
As an Engineer III - Intelligent Automation, you will support, enhance, and continuously improve SAP-based intelligent automation solutions across Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Direct-to-Consumer, and master-data processes. You will partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into reliable automation capabilities, monitor agent and workflow performance, resolve production issues, strengthen controls, and improve straight-through processing. This role requires broad SAP techno-functional experience, hands-on knowledge of automation and integration patterns, and the ability to connect business processes, data, controls, and technical solutions to deliver measurable outcomes.
About the Job
- Provide technical production support for SAP intelligent automation & AI solutions covering invoice parking, cash application, sales order automation, credit memo processing, and customer master processes.
- Partner with Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, DTC, and master-data teams to understand requirements, issues, priorities, and expected business outcomes.
- Document current- and future-state processes, business rules, exception scenarios, controls, data mappings, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Assess solution impacts across SAP FICO, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, DTC, Fashion, master data, pricing, billing, receivables, payables, logistics, interfaces, and downstream systems.
- Collaborate with SAP ABAP, BTP, AI, workflow, integration, Fiori, and automation teams through design, estimation, testing, release, cutover, and hypercare.
- Monitor agent runs, queues, interfaces, APIs, document processing, business-rule outcomes, exception dashboards, reconciliations, and SAP posting status.
- Troubleshoot failed or delayed automations involving master data, duplicate documents, variances, posting errors, credit checks, authorizations, interfaces, workflows, or agent decision logic.
- Coordinate incident resolution, validate fixes, communicate business impact and recovery status, and complete root-cause analysis and preventive improvements for recurring issues.
- Support unit, integration, regression, user-acceptance, volume, negative-scenario, and production-validation testing with traceability to business requirements.
- Maintain runbooks and operational documentation, and use automation metrics and business feedback to improve reliability, controls, straight-through processing, and measurable value.
About You
- 8–12+ years of progressive SAP experience across implementation, enhancement delivery, integration, intelligent automation, and production support.
- Strong process knowledge across SAP FICO, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Direct-to-Consumer, customer and vendor master data, sales, billing, receivables, payables, and related financial postings.
- Experience supporting SAP automations, workflows, interfaces, APIs, background processes, and exception-management solutions in production.
- Strong understanding of workflow, business rules, robotic process automation, document extraction, AI-assisted decisions, agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop review, and controlled SAP transaction execution.
- Ability to analyze SAP document flow, configuration, master data, application logs, interface payloads, workflow outcomes, and posting errors to isolate root cause.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Build Process Automation or comparable platforms, SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, IDoc, RFC or BAPI, workflow, Fiori, ABAP, and monitoring concepts.
- Experience with business rules, confidence thresholds, validations, exception handling, reprocessing, audit trails, observability, security, segregation of duties, SOX controls, data privacy, and responsible AI.
- Fashion and retail process experience, including SAP AFS or S/4HANA Fashion and its Finance, Sales, Procurement, DTC, logistics, and master-data dependencies, is preferred.
- Strong analytical, requirements-management, stakeholder communication, documentation, testing, and problem-solving skills, with experience working across global onsite and offshore teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant SAP, automation, agile, or IT service-management certifications are a plus
