Project Information
ACCIONA is delivering a new aircraft maintenance support facility at RAAF Base Tindal, near Katherine in the Northern Territory, under a contract awarded by NAVFAC Pacific. The facility will support United States Air Force squadron operations, with space for administration, training, briefing and equipment storage. It is the final award in a five-project military construction program at the base.
About the Opportunity
As Safety Advisor, you will implement and supervise occupational risk prevention measures across the Tindal project, adapting them to the needs of the site and work environment. You will assess risks at work areas and workstations, and update prevention plans to reflect construction and site operations. You will monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, with a focus on construction and logistics activities, and help investigate incidents to identify root causes and drive corrective action.
Required Skills and Competencies
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Conduct risk assessments across work areas and workstations
- Update and adjust site-specific prevention plans
- Monitor OH&S regulatory compliance across construction operations
- Investigate accidents and identify root causes and corrective actions
- Implement the corporate occupational risk prevention protocol on site
- Translate corporate safety objectives into operational site plans
- Collaborate with project and corporate teams on corrective actions from audits
