Job Description:

Manages an application(s) or AIT within the technology environment to keep compliant with external regulators as well as with Bank policies.  Supports systems through maintenance, modification, problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations and regulation changes. Oversees coordination of multiple projects and release planning to ensure production stability. Coordinates infrastructure migration projects to keep application in supported infrastructure. May provide expertise in determining the strategic technical direction and system architecture for initiatives with minimum technical debt. Provides L3 support to production issues. Provides training and technical assistance to more junior associates. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining applications in compliance with both external regulation and Bank internal mandates.

• Manages assigned application servers to keep up to date with software updates and vulnerability remediation, including rehosting projects to update infrastructure and monitoring of server capacity and performance.

• Manages, leads and directs the work efforts of teammates and other resources to deliver required projects and deliverables.

• Responsible for maintaining and executing technical recovery plans

• Works with Information Security partners to plan solutions and resolve complex vulnerabilities.

• Manages and coordinates activities with vendors, contractors or other IT partners involved in the application’s functional upgrades, production issue resolution and regulatory updates, ensuring SLAs are met.

• Establishes routines to monitor and resolve required deliverables for application governance

• Maintains up to date information regarding applications in all the required systems of record regarding permissions, interphases, connectivity, servers, used technology, etc.

• Provides L3 support for production issues

• Acts as an SME on the applications under his/her management

• Acts in coordination and provides support to other application managers on common issues

• Identification and proactive risk management.

• Motivates and influences a team of employees toward a common goal and/or deliverable

Required Skills:

• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (Agile and Waterfall) and Devops practices.

• Technical knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, Java/Phyton, Apache, middle ware (IBM MQ), IIS, Weblogic, Tomcat or similar technologies.

• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL server) and query processing.

• Basic knowledge of networking, application architecture and system integration.

• Basic knowledge of environment administration (DEV, UAT, Prod/Cont), automated deployments and environment monitoring (Splunk, Dynatrace).

• Project management experience: planning, scheduling, project communication, issue resolution.

• Critical thinking and problem solving.

• Excellent oral and written communication (English-Spanish).

• Contribute to risk culture by holding self-accountable to managing risk.

• Remains positive and focused during times of pressure or adversity.

• Ability to engage with Product and operations in technology discussions.

• Self-motivated, proactive individual, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to drive a project from concept to delivery.

• Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in banking or payment processing is a plus
