Requirements
Experience Needed:
- Lifecycle and CRM marketing (GoHighLevel).** Own our lifecycle engine end to end. Build and maintain the sequences across the customer journey: pre-call education, appointment reminders, no-show win-backs, long-term nurture, webinar campaigns, and post-event follow-up. Build and update the landing pages and funnels those sequences run through. Handle list hygiene, segmentation, tagging, and uploads so sales always knows who they're talking to and where that person came from.
- Email and SMS copywriting.** Write the copy inside those sequences in our brand voice. We market to trade business owners. They can smell agency copy a mile away, so we write plain, problem-first, and honest. You'll have real, approved examples of our voice to work from. Expect close review and fast feedback from marketing leadership for your first 30 to 60 days, then increasing ownership.
- Workflow analysis.** Watch how the sequences actually perform: opens, clicks, replies, drop-off points, show rates, and conversions. Test subject lines, send times, and cadence. Kill what's not working and double down on what is. We want someone who reports the numbers and then does something about them.
- Marketing ops QA.** Be the person who catches it before the lead does. Build monitoring so breaks get caught in hours, not weeks: forms, Zapier and native integrations, automations, booking calendars, and tracking. Our form-to-CRM zaps have broken silently before. Under you, that doesn't happen twice. You'll also review campaign work before it ships, ads, copy, landing pages, and emails, against our brand and our goals, and flag early when something's off.
- Day-to-day coordination.** Keep the marketing calendar, deadlines, and deliverables moving across our agency partners and vendors. Track what's owed, chase status from people who don't report to you, and flag misses to marketing leadership early. When agency creative lands, our Content & Design Specialist gives it a first creative pass; you package that plus leadership feedback into one clear set of directives and own the deadline. Bring the team decisions to make, not tasks to do.
- Reporting.** Keep our weekly marketing reporting accurate and delivered: scorecard, KPI tracking, and lead-source reports, built in GoHighLevel dashboards and Google Sheets. Flag anomalies when you see them, not when someone asks.
Good to have:
Beyond the stack:
- 3+ years in email, lifecycle, or CRM marketing where you both wrote the copy and built the campaigns.
- Strong writing. This is the core skill. You write natural, conversational US English, not formal or "agency" tone, and you can show us. We screen with a short paid writing exercise.
- Experience working with external agencies or vendors: you've tracked deliverables from people who don't report to you.
- Organized and reliable. You can juggle sequences, partners, and deadlines at once and keep everything moving without being chased.
- Comfortable using AI tools to draft, build, and analyze faster. We provide paid AI tools and expect you to use them. The voice judgment stays yours.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to the trades, home services, or small business owners. If you don't have it, you respect that audience and can learn their world quickly.
- SMS and deliverability know-how (warm-up, DMARC, list health).
- Light design skills (Canva or similar) for email and landing page assets.
Non-negotiable Requirements:
- GoHighLevel or a similar CRM / email marketing platform.** Hands-on experience building and managing lifecycle, nurture, and engagement campaigns. GoHighLevel is our platform, with Zapier holding parts of it together. Deep GHL experience is ideal; strong experience in HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or similar transfers if you learn fast.
- Marketing reporting and analytics tools.** Comfortable tracking performance, supporting reporting, and interpreting what's working across channels, then doing something about it.
- Core digital marketing platform familiarity.** Working knowledge of Meta, Google, social tools, and web analytics, so you can coordinate campaigns and review partner output effectively.
Industry/Tools Experience:
- GoHighLevel (GHL)
- Zapier, HubSpot
- ActiveCampaign
- Klaviyo
- Meta
- Google, Google Sheets
- GoHighLevel Dashboards
- Canva
- DMARC
- AI tools.
